Woody Woodpecker!

My Mom took pictures of me as a little girl naked on the bathroom counter looking into the mirror with my hair styled like Woody Woodpecker (that's a blast from the past huh?). Anyway, she did the same hairdo on Abby the other day and tried to re-create the picture. It's funny because in my baby book Abby sees the pictures of me and says "that looks like Abby". It really does. That's why we wanted to do it to her so we could see how similar we look at this age. You'd have to see my pictures to really appreciate how much we look alike.

What a Mess!!!

The other day while I was working my mom and Marilyn put all the kids in strollers and walked over to Baskin Robbins for dessert. Both Abby and Irelynne chose chocolate and needless to say I think they liked it. I'm not sure if they got more in their mouths or on their clothes!

Jack in the swing

So my Mom put Jack in the swing the other day for the first time. At first he wasn't sure if he liked it, but then he did! Now when I take Abby to the park I put Jack in the swing and push him too. I think he likes being able to play with his big sister and not just watching anymore.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go!

About a week ago I officially went back to work. I am working at Gulfstream in Newport Beach. I am a greeter (fancy word for hostess). So far I have finished my training and get to start all on my own tomorrow. The money is pretty good for the work and hours so that's nice. I have a few friends that work there as servers so I already knew a few people before I started.  Dan and my Mom are watching the kids while I'm at work, so that's been an adjustment for everyone. If you are ever in the mood for some great food come and visit me!!! I have no picture for this post, but when I go to work I have to wear a suit. That's been an adjustment too. I used to be able to wear whatever I wanted or not even shower if I didn't feel like it. Now I actually have a dress code!

Labor Day Weekend Pool Party

Marilyn and Jack
Jack underwater... Not sure he liked it, he didn't cry, but his lip quivered.

Abby would play in this ring and say "Cinderelli, Cinderelli" over and over. It was so cute!

This past weekend we had a pool party at my parent's house. It was lots of fun swimming with our family and friends. We had over 20 people there, so it definitely made the pool crowded from time to time. Each adult had a child they were in charge of. It was lots of work, but we all had a blast! Abby really loves swimming and jumping in from the side. She's pretty brave and will jump from the highest point! James really improved his swimming this weekend too. He's now able to dive, swim the length of the pool and pick things up off the bottom of the pool in the deep end. I really feel like this weekend was a breakthrough in both their swimming abilities.
