Easter 2009

Easter this year was a blast! The kids started out the morning with opening their Easter baskets and of course eating candy. Grandma and Aunt Jenny came over and made breakfast. After breakfast we headed out back to hunt for Easter eggs. All the kids loved their baskets and the egg hunt. We went to lunch that afternoon and headed over to Grandma and Papa Jack's house afterwards. We spent the afternoon swimming with our cousins. Dinner was great! Thanks to Grandma for making dinner. It was so much fun to have Aunt Jenny with us this year. We also had a great time swimming with the cousins. We always love hanging out with the family!
The Easter baskets.

Jack seems to be enjoying Easter.

Jack finding his first egg.

James found an egg on top of the swing set. It was really high up. This is him climbing down with it.

Jack just found an egg!

Abby with one of the eggs she found.

Jack examining the egg he just cracked open.

Jack eating one of his eggs he cracked open.

One of Jack's destroyed eggs. Once he figured out they could be cracked open he kept on doing it.

James found the last egg. It was a white egg that blended in with the white door. Pretty tricky bunny!

Jack destroying another egg.

Abby got this costume in her Easter basket. It's so pretty!

What a beautiful Mermaid costume!

Coloring Eggs

Every year we color eggs before Easter so we can have an Easter egg hunt on Easter. This year our neighbors Brandon and Dawson helped out. We had lots of fun! Abby seemed to really enjoy it and Jack just watched from his high chair most of the time. James had fun writing on the eggs before dying them.

Bunny Farm

Last Friday (Good Friday) I took the kids to the petting zoo. My sister was in town so she came too and got to witness all the chaos. We had nine kids total between all of us. Jillonnie came with her three, Anne came with her two, Kalyn had one and I had three. It was so much fun, but definitely a lot of work to keep them all together. Last year I went to the same petting zoo to pet the bunnies before Easter. They are open year round, but for some reason i only think about going around this time of year. I have included a ton of photos. There were so many good ones and I took so many it was hard to choose. Jack had a hard time with the bunnies because all he wanted to do was grab them and pull on them really hard. Hopefully next year he'll be more gentile! Overall it was a great day with lots of friends. We pet/fed the bunnies, rode a train, saw/fed goats, rode horses and got to play. Can't wait for next time.

Abby waving hello while riding. I was so proud of her for going by herself. Last year I had to walk next to her.

River, Abby, Shelby and James in with the goats. James is the only one actually looking at the camera, the rest are more concerned about the goat staring at them.

River petting this goat. He loves this one. He stayed with it for some time and just kept on petting it.

Shelby doing a sassy pose for me!

Nice pose James!

Aunt Jenny checking out all the commotion. I think she was overwhelmed by the nine kids we had with us.

Jillonnie giving all the kids their food for the goats while holding June. Nice multitasking!
